OCTA BLUE ECONOMY WEBINAR: Launch of the OCTA Blue Economy Roadmap

Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, French Polynesia, French Southern and Antarctic Lands (TAAF), Greenland, New Caledonia, Saba, Saint-Barthelemy, Saint-Pierre-and-Miquelon, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten

Since the signing of the Oceans Declaration in 2019, OCTA has been working on developing a Blue Economy Roadmap for the OCTs, with a view to realizing the potential of the overseas countries and territories for sustainable blue growth (blue economy). Starting in December 2020, this work has been undertaken by Cowi, one of the largest policy consultancies in the field. During this event, the team developing the OCTA Blue Economy Roadmap Study will make an in-depth presentation of the Study and will share their experience. It will be followed by a presentation of one of the EU funding programmes linked to the Blue Economy sector – the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund, as well as by a questions-and-answers session. This is a great opportunity to discuss all issues related to Blue Economy with the experts who developed the Study covering all EU OCTs.

The webinar took place on Thursday, 17 June 2021 and started at 21:00 CEST (15:00 Carribean / 17:00 Greenland / 09:00 French Polynesia / 06:00 New Caledonia (18 June) / 07:00 Wallis et Futuna (18 June)).
