The FALAH project and Caledonians

New Caledonia

Launched in November 2020 at the University of New Caledonia, the Falah project involves nearly one hundred researchers and PhD students from 14 institutions and universities in Europe and the Pacific. Over a period of four years, they will study family farming, food, lifestyle and health in the South Pacific. Four territories are being studied: New Caledonia, Fiji, the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.

This week, a team from Nouvelle-Calédonie 1ère (media) travelled to Lifou to report on the research. The results include the low consumption of garden produce and the lack of physical activity among young people.
